Nashville real estate - My home inspector Michael Thornton wrote a blog about this several months back, but I would like to remind people of why it's in the buyers best interest to have their Nashville home inspected by an experience, trained, professional home inspector.
The picture is from the attic of a 5 year old Nashville condo, and when the seller was told that no insulation had been installed, her comment was that now she know why the utility bills were so high.
Nashville codes inspectors sometimes don't bother to climb in the attic or into the crawl space, and that's where a lot of problems will be found. If this condo had been inspected when it was new, the builder would have corrected the problem at no cost to the buyer. A lot of money would have been saved by thes owner who now has to pay to have it corrected herself. Just the difference in utility bills would cover the cost of the inspection many times over.

Nashville real estate - I have a client who was transferred here from Oregon, and when they picked out several homes to view, none seemed special, or even similar. I'm a pretty quick guy, but this one had me stumped. But I didn't say anything until we had looked at a couple, and then I asked my questions.
Nashville real estate - I talked to a lady over the weekend who will need to sell her home in Nashville soon, in preparations for moving out of state. After the typical questions about the commission rates, and how many homes I had sold in Nashville, how was the market, what's her house worth, you know the usual stuff. She hits me with this.
