Nashville Boating Opportunities

Nashville boating opportunities

This is a repost of a blog by Julie Mcleland.

Nashville fro the dock Have you considered boating in Nashville? Many people are unaware of the growing boating society in Nashville, TN.  Lake Old Hickory is directly linked to downtown Nashville through only one easy lock.

Once on the Cumberland River, it is only a short trip to downtown Nashville. Metro parks have a dock on the river right beside the train depot where the Music City Star brings commuters and tourists. All slips have power and may be reserved for up to 5 days at a time. The dock is gated and monitored by metro parks.

The slips are walking distance to the busy area of 2nd street and Broadway. The Frist museum is only blocks away as is the always delicious Mike's Ice Cream Shop.
