Wordless Wesnesday - THis is the way to spend a Saturday afternoon sitting in the shade of a big oak tree watching guys chase eash other on horses swinging mallets that could take your head off. All in the name of charity. Seriously this is the Chukkers for Charity polo event held yearly, and it's a lot of fun for the competitors and spectators.
If you would like to search for a nice Franklin Esate to play polo, just click on the link, or call me, I'll help. Franklin Equestrian Estates

Sitting in the sun sounds nice, and I would predict a nap would be in order. It's the thundering of the hooves that would wake me, and hopefully not be headed my way!
What a sight. I'm ashamed to say that I have never seen a live polo match, though I have played polocrosse once(think polo mixed with lacrosse). Which was very very hard :)
Looks like a great time. Sitting out and enjoying others company and a great event makes for a good day. ~ Doug
Oh, how beautiful. I love horses and would love to see a polo match. Sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday. Hey, I don't see you sitting under that tree.

Neat event Larry. Where/when was this held?
Thaks for the comments, and yes it was a good day, Michael - It was held on June 19th at riverview Farm on Moran rd in Franklin.

When I play it without a horse it is called croquet. I want to try it on a horse someday.
Lori - It's a lot of fun, come visit Franklin, and you get to see a lot of Horse activities.
Mike - THe field is a little larger when it's called polo, 300 yards long About as long as one of your good drives
