Williamson County Real Estate: Nissan Z-cars Invade Franklin

Nissan Z-cars Invade Franklin

Last saturday I was headed to downtown Nashville on I-65, and I noticed several very clean older z-cars headed toward the Nissan building in Cool Springs. As the previous owner on a 1986 300zx, I was curious about the unusally activity.

I obviously didn't get the memo. The national zcar club was having a gathering right on the front lawn of the Nissan headquarters in Cool Springs. It was a hot day, but I couldn't resist walking the grounds and checking out all the tricked out cars, and the historic racers. THe Bob Sharp race car driven by Paul Newman was especially interesting to me.

Larry,

I had a 1980 Datsun 280ZX with the T-top and all.  Great car and it was wonderful down at the Keys.  Traded the car in for my first home.  Shold have known then that the lenders didn't have it all together.  Before I purchased the car $23,000 I tried to buy a house for $21,000.  Did not qualify for the house, but qualified for the car. Go figure.

Tish - thanks, it was a fun day

Diane - I guess the fact that government regulations aren't involved with buying a car is the reason for that.

Looks like a great day for a car show.

Half the fun is remembering when.

Enjoy the day

Don - You bet, I remember a lot of my friends had zcars in the late 70's and I didn't buy one until the mid 80's. THey aren't good cars for realtors, so I bought it's cousin, the infiniti G35. I'll have to admit, it's faster, handles better, and is more reliable than any car i've ever had. Including several german cars and my 86 300zx. Modern technology applied to cars is amazing.

Very cool event. Nissan really does participate in our community. They have been welcomed since they relocated head quarters to the area. ( I love those ZZZZs)
