The problem is , who is going to want the upkeep on so many of those drafty, inefficent old Castles?
look for prices to fall across the board and for Really exciting and specila properties to rule.
Jim - As sad as it sounds, just a few months ago we had a 3 year supply at the current rate. Most of these homes are sold to people coming from California, or the northeast where prices of homes are much higher, and they can trade their 2500 square ft ranch on 1/4 acre for a 5000 square ft home on 1 acre for the same price and less in taxes. It's seem high to us, but to them, it's a deal. It's all relative.
Great info. The reason these homes are selling is the great interest rates coupled with the price reductions.
Diane - Some of these homes are discounted $300,000. If you ever wanted one, now is the time.
Luxury home sales seem to be picking up as we get closer to election time. Homefully the job situation will improve next year, and normal will happen again.
