Longview recreation center will be open for business on April 14th, 2008. The city planners are looking to improve the quality of life by expanding the recreational opportunities in Spring Hill. THe location of the center is at the end of Commonwealth drive, currently the entrance of Wakefield off of Duplex road. Follow commonwealth to the end of the road. THe rec center is beside Longview elementary school.
Other projects on the planning board is a New YMCA on port royal near Marvin Wright elementary. A recreation park at the intersection of Kedron and port royal has been in discussion for years. The plan is to have 2 football fields, 2 soccer fields, a basketball court, and picnic facilities.
Neighborhoods that will benefit for the new Recreation center are Wakefield, Newport Crossing, Wades Grove, Campbell station, Spring Hill place, and many more. Most of the neighborhoods in Spring Hill and Thompsons station at less than a 5 minute drive the Longview recreation center.
I am being relocated to the Nashville, TN area from central Florida.
