Williamson county has always had a lot of recreational cyclist, but now that fuel has become a little more expensive, and sometimes harder to find, you seem them more during rush hour. Unfortunately, our roads do not have a lane for bikers, and people are usually surprised when they come up on a biker moving at a mush slower pace that the rest of the traffic.
I know that Brentwood has bike paths that are recreational in nature, and really aren't designed to get you to work, so if recreation is your plan, it's a good way to go. Using your bike to commute in the Nashville area may be more dangerous than going to war. One biker has already died this summer riding in Franklin, so please be careful, and obey the laws. I personally have almost hit a biker who ran s stop sign when I didn't expect it.

Gosh Larry, that is the first time that I have seen a tandem 'bent' . But, you are right, there are a lot of bikers here in Williamson County. I am one of them...
Michael - Be careful on the roads, especially this time of year. It's hard to see bikers sometimes on rural roads.
So is Nashville. I was dodging bikers all day yesterday. I even went out and did a little jaunt myself. It was fun, great exercise, saved gas, was good for the environment. Wow, I think I have a good blog post idea. Thank you Larry (you are getting a mention) Look out for it
