Spring Hill real estate - The company that is attempting to acquire Rippavilla from General motors is asking the zoning commission of Spring Hill to allow 110 acres of the Rippavilla property to be rezoned for apartments. I personally have a major problem with this request, because it will be a very negative impact on the schools in that area. And it will impact the value of the homes in the area in a negative way.
As amazing as it seems, only one citizen even bothered to show up and talk about the impact to the community.
Thankfully that part of the project has not been approved yet.
We had at least 10 representative from Wades Grove to discuss the pro and cons of the proposed Wades Grove pool and pool house that John Maher was planning to build for the Wades Grove residents. The proposed pool facility would have cost John Maher $750,000 plus 3 lots at an estimated value of an additional $150,00. His plan would have added $900,000 of equity to the 118 homeowners at no cost to them, or $7600 per house.
It was voted down by the Spring Hill commission even though 90 percent of the homeowners approved it. I guess the commission thinks the children of Wades grove should play in the street instead of a pool.
