Williamson County Real Estate: Brentwood goes Green

Brentwood goes Green

Brentwood tn real estate - The city of Brentwood would like to educate the rest of the world as to how environmental friendly we can be. City Commissioner Alex Nobel is calling for the forming of an environmental steering committee by the city.

If you don't live Tennessee, you wouldn't know that the city of Brentwood has always been the cleanest in the state, and is very careful to preserve the Brentwood parks and greenspaces throughout the city. It's a little bit of a surprise that Brentwood would need a steering committee for something that they have already done very well thoughout the years. If nothing else, they could use this opportunity to tell the rest of the world  how great a place Brentwood really is.

Some would rather keep Brentwood a secret.

Larry, Brentwood has always been that way. I have been around Brentwood over 5 years, when it was wide spot in the road. Although it has changed a lot, you can still drive around and see bits ad peices of the old.

The residents have always made the difference

Bo - the residents do keep the govenment under control. Property taxes haven't changed in 14 years I believe.  They are actually planning to go back to a minimum of 1 acre lots I've heard. The ruling to allow for greenspace and build homes on small lots may be a thing of the past.

Larry,

It seems like the whole world is going green, doesn't it?

Larry, I have lived in Brentwood for 30 years now and this is one of your classic "planned" communities with no billboards, underground utilities in subdivisions and a lot of green space especially in the older subdivisions. It would be nice to see other areas of the country follow Brentwood's lead...
